Over £500 raised at Summer Fete!
A big thank you to everyone who attended our annual summer fete, and to all businesses which donated raffle prizes. We managed to raise a record £500 this year which overwhelms our previous fete earnings.
The weather was fantastic, we even managed to include "Soak the police officer" as one of our activities (see picture).
Congratulations to all the successful raffle prize winners, we hope you enjoy your prizes. Our summer fete is an annual event, so don't worry if you missed it this year, we'll be hosting another one in 2009.
Awarded best group on St George’s Day 2008
6th Newport Scout Group was recently awarded for being the best scout group in Newport for the St George's day march. St George's Day is celebrated each year by scouts in Newport, who parade through the city centre.
Well done scouts!
